Holly Penfield
Holly Penfield
Holly Penfield, a luminary on the London jazz cabaret scene for over fifteen years, is a native of San Francisco. She returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with her all new show, Fragile Human Monster. In this weird, whimsical evening Penfield will perform a collection of original rock songs with a gypsy jazz influence as well as gut wrenching ballads written from the bottom of her tangled heart.

Penfield lived in Los Angeles and studied with the legendary vocal teacher Judy Davis (who coached Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr) before being lured away by the mystique and adventure of London. She appeared at Cafe de Paris, Beach Blanket Babylon, Pizza Express, China Jazz, and Scott's on Mount Street - where she was, (like Sally Bowles) the toast of Mayfair!

Holly has headlined events and entertained at many posh establishments including the Dorchester, Ritz and Savoy Hotels. She has performed for Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. In addition Penfield has toured extensively through Europe and has gained a following, not just for her music, but also her elaborate designer costumes that compliment her eclectic stage presence.

Underneath it all, Holly is a fine pianist and a serious song writer whose talents are showcased on her CDs "Both Sides Now" and "Le Jazz Hot" recorded live at the legendary Pizza on the Park.
