Mary Wilson
Mary Wilson, founding member of The Supremes, will make her Feinstein’s at the Nikko debut in an intimate evening of both classic Supremes hits and favorites from the Great American Songbook plus a few stories from her legendary career. It was the vision of musical stardom as a Detroit teenager that inspired Mary Wilson, Diana Ross and Florence Ballard to create one of the most successful singing groups in recording history. Since then, Wilson has written bestselling autobiographies (“DreamGirl: My Life as a Supreme” and “Supreme Faith…”) performed on stage and screen, lectured and toured the world while continuing to be admired as a singer who set the standard for females in the recording industry. Signed by Motown Founder Berry Gordy, four decades and forty albums later, The Supremes had an unprecedented 12 number one hits, including five in a row; ‘Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” “Stop In The Name of Love,” and “Back in My Arms Again.” They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

Ms. Wilson is very active in political causes including lobbying for the protection of the legacy of artists’ work from the unauthorized use of band’s names. In 2003 she was named a US Cultural Ambassador by Secretary of State Colin Powell. Today she enjoys a very successful solo concert career and will release a new CD in spring 2018.
